As we all start to wake up to the need to take more care of our planet the better and more efficient use of food, at all stages of the chain, becomes an increasingly relevant topic.
Food is an essential part of everyday life but its production places a strain on the planet in so many ways. Livestock creating greenhouse gasses, de-forestation so more crops can be grown, the carbon footprint of moving food goods around the world, and the filling of land fill sites around the UK just to highlight a few key issues.

At Batley Environmental Engineering we produce robust equipment to enable the more efficient use of waste food and although we only produce a small range of equipment all our machines can be scaled up or down to handle the precise tonnages you need to handle. We don’t believe in over engineering a solution preferring to deal with the base problem in a cost efficient way so you can have the equipment you need without having to pay for more complex equipment that is more capable than your job requires.
Our equipment can be used to efficiently remove packaging from returned out of date food products with a 99% success record. The efficient removal of packaging is the biggest factor limiting the reduction in land fill and enabling more re-use of food products. For returned wood waste to be re-used safely whether for animal feed production or power generation in AD plants the removal of all plastic packaging is essential.
Our Tornado Separator comes with bespoke options for feeding in product and for removing the food waste and packaging. Bagging systems, conveyors, hoppers and feeders can all be designed and manufactured specifically for your use and your site location needs.
Our Blitz Pro machines are designed to mulch and crush crop material, and can be used in both AD plants to mash such crops as potatoes into a mulch to work far quicker in the digester, or they can be used for more effective animal feed.
Our Tornado Separator can be produced as a small capacity machine specifically for individual farm purposes such as removing bread from plastic wrapping or elsewhere for removing product from tins or plastic bottles all with a 99% success rate. It is often surprising how small a machine can be to handle the volume needed to be done on an hourly or daily basis.
